What if we’ve been waiting to enter a Kingdom we were meant to bring to life?
๐ฑ The Seed
For generations, we’ve been told that heaven is somewhere beyond this world, a beautiful place we’ll finally reach when our earthly journey is over.
But what if, in all our anticipation of going to heaven, we’ve overlooked something extraordinary?
What if heaven has been waiting for us to recognize its presence here?
๐ Scripture
Luke 17:20โ21 (KJV)
โThe kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.โ
๐ฟ The Reflection
There’s something wonderfully ironic about spending our lives praying, โThy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven,โ while simultaneously believing our greatest hope is to escape the earth altogether.
We’ve built entire belief systems around getting somewhere else.
We’ve imagined golden streets, magnificent mansions, pearly gates, and an eternity somewhere beyond the clouds.
And perhaps there are wonders beyond this physical existence that we cannot yet begin to imagine.
But what about here?
What about now?
What about the Kingdom Yeshua came proclaiming?
He didn’t simply announce a future destination. He spoke of a Kingdom drawing near, a reality that could be discovered, entered, experienced, and expressed.
He healed the sick.
He fed the hungry.
He welcomed the rejected.
He restored dignity to those society had forgotten.
He demonstrated what life looks like when the love of heaven becomes visible on earth.
And then He invited us to walk in that same love.
What if the Kingdom isn’t merely something we’re waiting to inherit, but something we’re awakening to and participating in right now?
Consider the moments when heaven seems to touch the ordinary.
A child laughing without a care in the world.
A sea turtle gliding effortlessly through the ocean.
A stranger offering kindness without expecting anything in return.
Someone feeding a hungry person simply because they see another life worth loving.
A wounded heart discovering forgiveness.
A person who once lived under fear finally recognizing that Father’s love was never absent.
Could these be glimpses of the Kingdom finding expression through creation?
Perhaps heaven isn’t as far away as we’ve imagined.
And perhaps the separation we’ve felt has more to do with how we’ve learned to see than with how far away Father actually is.
There’s another beautiful dimension to this discovery.
If we are expressions of Father, carrying divine life within us, then bringing heaven to earth isn’t about persuading a distant God to finally show up.
It’s about allowing the love, wisdom, compassion, and creativity of the Divine to become increasingly visible through our lives.
Not because we have achieved perfection.
Not because we’ve earned some special spiritual status.
But because love is our deepest calling, and the Kingdom becomes visible wherever that love finds expression.
This doesn’t mean there is no heaven beyond this life.
It simply invites us to consider whether we’ve made the future so important that we’ve neglected the sacred possibilities of the present.
What if our purpose isn’t to spend our days waiting to leave this world?
What if we’re here to help reveal what this world can become when love is allowed to flourish?
Imagine communities where nobody goes hungry.
Where animals and creation are treated with tenderness.
Where people are valued beyond their beliefs, possessions, or circumstances.
Where differences inspire curiosity rather than hostility.
Where generosity flows freely because we recognize ourselves in one another.
Wouldn’t that begin to look a little more like heaven?
And here’s the beautiful part.
We don’t have to wait for the entire world to change before we begin.
The Kingdom can find expression in one conversation.
One act of kindness.
One person choosing compassion over judgment.
One heart opening to love.
Maybe that’s what makes the words of our song so meaningful:
โSweet home in the Kingdom, where the Father’s love shines through.โ
Home may be more than somewhere we eventually arrive.
It may also be something we discover as we awaken to the Divine presence that has been with us all along.
And perhaps, as we learn to live from that awareness, we begin to recognize something extraordinary.
We aren’t merely waiting for heaven.
We’re participating in its unfolding.
๐๏ธ The Blessing
May you discover the sacred in places you’ve previously overlooked.
May the beauty of creation remind you that Father’s love is not confined to distant heavens.
May your hands become instruments of compassion, your words become invitations to peace, and your presence become a place where others experience love.
And may you increasingly recognize the Kingdom not only as a promise for tomorrow, but as a living reality inviting your participation today.
โจ Affirmation
I am an expression of Father’s love. The Kingdom is alive within me, and through love, compassion, and conscious living, I participate in bringing heaven to earth.
๐ธ A Walk in the Garden
Sometime today, step outside and spend a few moments observing life around you.
Notice the sky, the trees, the birds, or even the smallest creature going about its day.
Rather than searching for something extraordinary, simply become present to what is already there.
Then ask yourself:
If heaven were expressing itself through my life today, what might that look like?
Allow your answer to become one simple act of love.
Not an obligation.
An expression.
๐พ A Seed to Carry
Perhaps the question isn’t simply, โHow do I get to heaven?โ but โHow can heaven become more visible through me?โ
๐ Love’s Echo
Beloved,
You have searched for Me beyond the stars while My presence has been whispering through the beauty surrounding you.
You have imagined a home somewhere far away, yet I have never ceased inviting you into communion with Me here.
Do not mistake the promise of tomorrow for the absence of today.
There are wonders yet to discover, mysteries yet to unfold, and depths of Love you have scarcely begun to explore.
But you need not wait to begin living in My Kingdom.
Let Love move through your hands.
Let compassion shape your choices.
Let the beauty you discover within become beauty expressed around you.
For wherever Love is welcomed and given life, something of heaven is revealed.
And beloved, there is so much more to discover.
Ashรฉ. (May it be so.)
