What if the holiest moments of your life aren’t the extraordinary ones, but the ordinary ones you’ve overlooked?

Ordinary Moments, Holy Ground
Scripture
“The place where you are standing is holy ground.”
Exodus 3:5
Devotional Reflection
We often imagine that we will encounter the Father in the extraordinary.
On a mountaintop.
During a powerful worship service.
Through an unmistakable miracle.
Or in some future moment when life finally slows down.
Yet one of Scripture’s most profound encounters happened on what began as an ordinary day.
Moses wasn’t searching for a spiritual experience.
He was tending sheep.
Doing what he had done countless times before.
Then everything changed.
Not because the ground suddenly became holy.
But because Moses became aware of the Presence that had always been there.
Perhaps that is true for us as well.
The Father’s Love is not confined to sacred buildings or special occasions.
His Presence fills kitchens where breakfast is shared.
Quiet walks through the neighborhood.
Long conversations with a friend.
The laughter of children.
The tears no one else sees.
The cup of coffee enjoyed in the stillness of the morning.
The embrace of someone who needed to know they were loved.
Every ordinary moment carries the possibility of becoming a holy encounter when our hearts awaken to the Father’s Presence.
Yeshua revealed this beautifully.
He met people while walking dusty roads.
Sharing meals.
Fishing by the sea.
Attending weddings.
Touching the sick.
Blessing children.
The sacred wasn’t separate from everyday life.
It was woven into it.
Perhaps holiness is not something we travel to.
Perhaps it is something we awaken to.
Today, before you rush toward the next task, pause for a moment.
Take a slow breath.
Look around.
Listen carefully.
The Father may already be meeting you in the ordinary moment you almost overlooked.
Blessing
May your eyes awaken to the Father’s Presence in everyday life.
May ordinary moments become sacred encounters filled with wonder.
May your heart discover that holy ground is often closer than you imagined.
Affirmation
The Father’s Presence is with me.
Every moment holds the possibility of wonder.
Today, I choose to walk on holy ground.
Prayer
Father,
Open my eyes to Your Presence in the ordinary moments of my day.
Help me slow down enough to recognize Your Love in simple conversations, quiet mornings, shared meals, and unexpected acts of kindness.
Teach me to live with wonder, knowing that wherever You are, that place becomes holy ground.
May my ordinary life become a reflection of Your extraordinary Love.
Amen.
Closing Reflection Question
What ordinary moment today might become holy ground if you simply became aware of the Father’s Presence?
Love’s Echo
The Father rarely waits for life to become extraordinary before revealing His Love.
He quietly fills ordinary moments with extraordinary Presence.
“Holy ground is not found by traveling farther. It is discovered by awakening where you already stand.”
