A Seed for the Soul
Perhaps the journey to Father is not a journey across distance, but an awakening to the Love in which we have always existed.
Scripture to Contemplate
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being.”
Acts 17:28 (KJV)
The Reflection
There is a longing within the human soul that words can scarcely describe.
A longing for something we cannot quite name. A sense that somewhere, beyond the noise of this world, there is something familiar waiting to be discovered.
We look toward the heavens.
We search ancient writings.
We enter sacred places, whisper prayers into the darkness, and reach toward a presence we believe must be somewhere beyond ourselves.
But what if we have misunderstood the distance?
What if Father was never far away?
Consider the ocean.
A wave rises from its depths, takes shape, moves across the surface, and eventually returns. Yet throughout its entire existence, the wave has never been separate from the ocean.
It is the ocean expressing itself in a particular form.
Could something similar be true of us?
Not that we are the fullness of the Infinite, but that our very existence is an expression of the One from whom all life flows.
The breath moving through our lungs.
The awareness behind our eyes.
The mysterious life within every creature.
What if these are not merely reminders of Father’s presence, but expressions of a creation that has never existed outside that presence?
Perhaps this is part of what Yeshua was revealing when he spoke of the Father dwelling within him, and of the possibility of our own union with Divine Love.
Not a distant God waiting for humanity to climb high enough to reach Him.
But a Father whose life is already moving through creation.
And perhaps the deepest mystery is found in our longing.
What if longing is remembrance?
What if that inexplicable ache for something more is not the cry of a soul abandoned by its Source, but the stirring of something within us beginning to remember?
Maybe we have spent so much of our lives trying to reach Father that we have overlooked the quiet miracle of already being held.
This does not mean we have nothing left to discover.
An ocean can be explored for a lifetime without exhausting its mysteries.
And perhaps our relationship with Father is much the same.
There are depths of Love we have not yet experienced. Ways of seeing we have not yet awakened to. Expressions of Divine Life still waiting to unfold through us.
But none of these discoveries require us to begin from separation.
We can begin from belonging.
Maybe awakening is not finding our way back into Father’s presence.
Maybe it is discovering that we never left.
A Blessing
May the longing within you become an invitation rather than an ache of separation.
May you recognize the sacred in the ordinary, the breath within your body, the beauty of creation, and the quiet spaces between your thoughts.
And may you discover that the Love you have been reaching toward has never stopped holding you.
An Affirmation
I do not have to cross an impossible distance to find Divine Love. I live, move, and have my being within the Source of all life. I am awakening to a presence that has never abandoned me.
A Walk in the Garden
Find a quiet place today, preferably somewhere you can experience nature.
Feel the air against your skin.
Notice your breathing without trying to change it.
Listen to the sounds around you.
For a few moments, release the effort to reach toward Father.
Instead, gently explore this possibility:
What would it feel like if I were already completely surrounded by Divine Love?
Don’t force an experience or search for a particular sensation.
Simply allow yourself to be present.
A Seed to Carry
Perhaps I have not been searching for a way into Father’s presence. Perhaps I have been learning to recognize the presence in which I have always lived.
Love’s Echo
Beloved,
Before you knew how to call My name, you were already known.
Before your first breath, before your first question, before you ever wondered whether I was near, your life was held within My Love.
You have searched the heavens for Me, yet I have never been absent from the earth beneath your feet.
You have listened for My voice in the distance, while the quiet invitation of Love has remained near.
Do not mistake your longing for abandonment.
Let it open you to discovery.
There is so much more of My Love for you to experience, so much beauty for you to recognize, so much life waiting to unfold.
You do not have to earn your place within My heart.
You have always belonged.
And as you awaken to this, may you discover something beautiful.
You were never outside My Love.
Not for a single moment.
Ashé. (May it be so.)
