Is heaven something we must wait to experience after death, or can we begin living in its reality right now?
The Short Answer
Yes. Heaven is not merely a distant destination awaiting us after physical death.
Heaven is the experience and expression of Divine Love, peace, unity, and harmony with Father, available to us here and now.
Yeshua came proclaiming the Kingdom of Heaven as a present reality, inviting humanity to awaken to the divine Life within and allow that Life to transform the world around us.
We do not have to leave Earth to begin experiencing heaven.
We can bring heaven into our earthly lives.
The Traditional Understanding
Christianity traditionally teaches that heaven is the dwelling place of God and the eternal home of those who are saved.
Many Christians also believe that God’s Kingdom is already present through the life and ministry of Yeshua, although its fullness awaits a future restoration of creation.
This is often described as the Kingdom being both already here and not yet fully realized.
Scripture speaks of a future new heaven and new earth, where suffering, death, and sorrow are overcome.
These promises offer hope, particularly to those experiencing hardship.
Yet Yeshua did not limit his message to a future world.
He taught his followers to begin expressing the reality of heaven within this one.
A Deeper Look
In Matthew 6:10, Yeshua teaches us to pray:
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” (KJV)
Consider what this prayer reveals.
Yeshua does not instruct us simply to ask Father to take us away from Earth.
He invites the reality of heaven to become visible within earthly existence.
Heaven and Earth are not meant to remain disconnected.
The divine harmony of heaven is meant to find expression through creation.
Heaven as a State of Consciousness
In Luke 17:20–21, Yeshua explains that the Kingdom does not arrive through outward observation.
He declares that the Kingdom of God is “within you,” a phrase also translated as “among you” or “in your midst.”
Through an esoteric understanding, this reveals the Kingdom as a divine reality we can awaken to rather than merely a physical location we must reach.
When our consciousness is rooted in fear, judgment, resentment, or separation, we experience life through those conditions.
But when we awaken to Father’s unconditional Love, our experience begins to change.
Peace becomes possible even when circumstances remain uncertain.
Compassion becomes natural where judgment once ruled.
Gratitude reveals beauty that anxiety previously obscured.
Heaven begins within consciousness and becomes visible through the way we live.
Heaven Does Not Mean a Life Without Difficulty
Experiencing heaven on Earth does not mean we will never encounter grief, disappointment, or conflict.
Yeshua himself experienced sorrow, opposition, and physical suffering.
Yet he remained rooted in his relationship with Father.
In John 16:33, he tells his followers:
“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (KJV)
The Kingdom is not dependent upon perfect circumstances.
It is the presence of Divine Love within the circumstances we experience.
And as that Love becomes expressed through humanity, the world itself begins to change.
When someone is hungry and receives food, heaven becomes visible.
When a wounded person encounters compassion instead of condemnation, heaven becomes visible.
When we care for animals, protect creation, or comfort someone who is grieving, we express the harmony of the Kingdom.
Heaven is not merely an inward feeling.
It is Divine Love taking form through our lives.
Living the Discovery
Consider one ordinary moment today.
It might be sharing breakfast with someone you love, walking outside, helping a neighbor, or simply sitting quietly in gratitude.
Instead of waiting for something extraordinary to happen, become aware of Father’s Presence within that moment.
Notice the Life surrounding you.
Allow gratitude to open your awareness, then ask yourself how you can express Love through your next action.
You do not need to manufacture heaven.
You are learning to recognize and reveal what is already present.
The more we live from this awareness, the more heaven becomes a shared experience rather than merely a private hope.
Love’s Echo
Beloved,
You have looked toward distant heavens, waiting for the day you might finally experience My Kingdom.
Yet My Love surrounds you even now.
I am present in the quiet beauty of creation, in the kindness you offer, and in the peace that rises when you remember who you are.
Do not wait for another world to begin living in My Love.
Let your heart become a place of peace, your hands instruments of compassion, and your life an expression of heaven.
Where Love is made visible, My Kingdom is revealed.
Ashé.
