Did Yeshua come to rescue us from an angry God, or to awaken us to the Divine Life we have forgotten?
The Short Answer
Salvation is awakening from the consciousness of fear, separation, and spiritual blindness into the truth of our union with Father.
It is not simply securing a place in heaven after death or escaping eternal punishment.
To be saved is to be restored to the awareness and expression of the Divine Life that has always been our deepest identity.
Yeshua came to reveal Father’s Love, show us who we truly are, and demonstrate what life looks like when we live in conscious harmony with the Divine.
The Traditional Understanding
Christianity traditionally teaches that humanity needs salvation because of sin and its consequences.
Most Christian traditions understand Yeshua’s life, death, and resurrection as central to God’s work of saving humanity.
Many evangelical Christians emphasize personal faith in Yeshua as Savior, forgiveness of sins, and the promise of eternal life.
Other traditions place greater emphasis on healing humanity’s fallen nature, liberation from death, participation in divine Life, and transformation through grace.
These understandings share an important conviction: salvation is not merely a human achievement. It is rooted in God’s loving action toward humanity.
But what exactly are we being saved from, and what are we being saved into?
A Deeper Look
The Greek verb sōzō, frequently translated as “save,” can also mean to rescue, deliver, heal, or make whole.
Its meaning depends upon the context.
In the Gospels, this word is used not only in connection with spiritual salvation but also with physical healing and deliverance.
For example, when Yeshua tells the woman who touched his garment that her faith has made her whole (Mark 5:34), the Greek verb is sōzō.
This reveals something important.
Salvation is not limited to a legal declaration concerning our future.
It also carries the beautiful language of restoration and wholeness.
Saved From What?
When we believe ourselves separated from Father, that belief shapes our entire experience of life.
Fear replaces trust. Shame obscures our worth. Judgment divides us from others.
We begin living as though Divine Love must be earned and our identity must be established through religious performance.
Yet Yeshua reveals a different reality.
In John 8:32, he declares:
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (KJV)
Through an esoteric understanding, salvation involves awakening to that liberating truth.
We are not worthless beings attempting to become worthy of God’s Love.
We are children of the Divine awakening from the illusion that we have ever existed outside that Love.
Salvation does not create our divine identity. It restores our awareness of it.
Saved Into What?
Yeshua did not merely announce freedom from sin. He proclaimed the Kingdom of Heaven.
He demonstrated compassion, forgiveness, healing, and conscious union with Father.
In John 17:3, he describes eternal life in terms of knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom God sent.
Eternal Life is therefore more than endless existence.
It is intimate participation in Divine Life.
And salvation becomes visible through transformation.
A person awakening to Father’s Love begins to express that Love through relationships, choices, and everyday experiences.
This is why salvation cannot be reduced to repeating certain words or adopting a religious label.
It is the awakening of the whole person into the consciousness of Christ.
Living the Discovery
Consider the areas of your life where fear, shame, resentment, or feelings of unworthiness still influence your decisions.
These are places where salvation can become a present experience.
When you release condemnation and embrace your sacred worth, you experience freedom.
When you forgive without abandoning healthy boundaries, you experience restoration.
When you choose compassion over judgment, you allow the Life of Christ to become visible.
Salvation is not about becoming someone Father can finally love.
It is about awakening to the Love that has always been yours and allowing it to transform how you live.
Love’s Echo
Beloved,
I did not send Love into the world to convince Myself to love you.
My Love was already yours.
I have never needed to be rescued from My own anger toward you.
It is you whom I call out of fear, shame, and the belief that you are separate from Me.
Awaken to the Life I have placed within you.
Let truth free you, let Love restore you, and let the fullness of who you are become visible.
You are not trying to find your way into My heart.
You have always been held within it.
Ashé.
