Was Yeshua showing us someone to worship from a distance, or revealing the divine Life we are meant to embody?
The Short Answer
To live as Christ is to awaken to our divine identity and allow the Love, wisdom, and consciousness of Father to become visible through our human lives.
It is more than believing in Yeshua, following religious teachings, or trying to imitate his behavior.
It is living from the same divine union he demonstrated.
Christ is not merely someone we are called to admire. Christ is the divine Life we are called to express.
The Traditional Understanding
Christianity traditionally teaches that Yeshua is the Christ, the Son of God, who came to redeem humanity through his life, death, and resurrection.
To live a Christlike life generally means following his example through faith, obedience, humility, compassion, and service.
Paul writes in Galatians 2:20:
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” (KJV)
Many Christians understand this as the transforming presence of Christ within believers through the Holy Spirit.
This is a meaningful foundation.
But what if Paul’s declaration reveals something even deeper than moral transformation?
What if living as Christ means awakening to the divine identity that has always been our deepest truth?
A Deeper Look
The word Christ comes from the Greek Christos, meaning “Anointed One.”
It corresponds to the Hebrew Mashiach, or Messiah.
Historically, the title identifies Yeshua as the Anointed One. Yet through an esoteric understanding, anointing also opens a doorway into the mystery of divine consciousness expressed through humanity.
Yeshua lived in conscious union with Father.
In John 10:30, he declares:
“I and my Father are one.”
And in John 14:20, he tells his disciples:
“At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.”
Notice the movement of this revelation.
Yeshua does not speak only of his own union with Father. He includes his followers within that divine relationship.
In John 17:21, he prays that they may all be one, just as he and Father are one.
These words reveal more than a call to religious agreement.
They open our understanding to the reality of divine union.
From Worshiping Christ to Living as Christ
Yeshua demonstrated what a human life looks like when it is fully aligned with Divine Love.
He healed rather than condemned. He forgave rather than retaliated. He challenged religious systems that placed burdens upon people while neglecting mercy.
He recognized the sacred worth of those society rejected.
And he taught his followers to continue his works.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also.” — John 14:12 (KJV)
The invitation was never simply to stand at a distance admiring his holiness.
It was to awaken and participate in the same divine Life.
This is the heart of Christ consciousness: the awareness of our union with Father becoming the foundation of how we think, perceive, and live.
We are not attempting to become divine through effort.
We are awakening to the divine nature already within us and allowing it to find expression.
Living the Discovery
Living as Christ does not require abandoning our humanity.
It means bringing divine awareness into ordinary human experiences.
When someone mistreats us, we can respond with truth and boundaries rather than hatred.
When we encounter suffering, we can become an expression of compassion rather than indifference.
When fear arises, we can remember that our identity is rooted in something deeper than our circumstances.
And when we look upon another person, we can recognize the same sacred Life that dwells within us.
Living as Christ is not about appearing spiritually superior.
It is about becoming so rooted in Love that our presence brings more of heaven into the world.
Love’s Echo
Beloved,
I did not place My Life within you so that you would spend your days believing yourself separate from Me.
The Love you admire in Yeshua is the Love I am awakening within you.
You were created to express My nature, to reveal My compassion, and to carry My light into the world.
Do not wait for some distant day to become who you already are.
Let Love guide your thoughts, your words, and your hands.
Where you walk in Love, My Kingdom becomes visible.
Ashé.
