What if the Kingdom of God was never meant to be something we merely talked about, but something we actually experienced and expressed?
📖 Scripture
«“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
1 Corinthians 4:20 (KJV)»
🌱 The Seed
There is something fascinating about how much of our spiritual lives can revolve around words.
We study words.
We debate words.
We memorize words.
We build entire belief systems around words.
We argue over translations, interpretations, doctrines, and traditions.
And sometimes we become so occupied with explaining the Kingdom of God that we forget to ask a much more important question.
Where is the Kingdom actually being experienced?
Paul makes a remarkable statement:
“The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
Not merely in explanations.
Not merely in declarations.
Not merely in the ability to quote Scripture.
But in power.
And perhaps that should cause us to reconsider what spiritual awakening is really about.
🌿 What Kind of Power?
When we hear the word power, we often imagine authority.
Control.
Dominion.
The ability to make something happen.
But when we examine the life of Yeshua, we discover something extraordinary.
He demonstrated power in ways that often challenged humanity’s understanding of greatness.
He healed the sick.
He restored sight to the blind.
He delivered people from oppression.
He fed the hungry.
He calmed storms.
He raised the dead.
But he also demonstrated another kind of power.
The power to forgive those who harmed him.
The power to love his enemies.
The power to stand in truth without hatred.
The power to wash the feet of those who called him Master.
The power to welcome people whom society had rejected.
Perhaps divine power is far more expansive than we have imagined.
It includes healing and restoration.
But it also includes the transformation of consciousness.
The ability to move beyond fear.
To overcome hatred with Love.
To release resentment.
To recognize the sacred in someone we once considered an enemy.
Perhaps the Kingdom’s power is revealed wherever Father’s nature becomes active within creation.
🌿 The Difference Between Knowing and Experiencing
Imagine someone who has spent their entire life studying the ocean.
They know its depths.
Its currents.
Its tides.
Its creatures.
They can explain how waves form and why the water rises and falls.
They may possess more knowledge about the ocean than almost anyone alive.
But they have never touched the water.
Never felt a wave move around their body.
Never floated upon its surface.
Never experienced the extraordinary feeling of being surrounded by something so vast.
Their knowledge may be accurate.
But there is an entire dimension of understanding they have yet to experience.
Perhaps spirituality can become something similar.
We can study Father’s love without allowing ourselves to receive it.
We can explain forgiveness while continuing to carry resentment.
We can speak about divine unity while living in separation.
We can discuss healing without opening ourselves to the possibility of becoming instruments of restoration.
We can teach about the Kingdom while never exploring what it means to live from its reality.
Knowing about something and experiencing it are not always the same thing.
And perhaps Paul is inviting us beyond explanation into participation.
🌿 The Power Within
Consider another passage:
«“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)»
Notice those final words.
“The power that worketh in us.”
Not merely a power somewhere beyond the heavens.
Not simply something reserved for a distant future.
A power working within.
And Paul writes elsewhere:
«“Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Colossians 1:27»
What if these passages are inviting us to discover something extraordinary about our relationship with Father?
There is one Supreme Source of Life.
And we are expressions of that Life.
We exist within creation as spiritual beings experiencing physical existence.
And perhaps part of awakening is learning to recognize and participate more consciously in the divine Life flowing through us.
Not as independent sources of power.
But as expressions connected to the Source.
Yeshua described this relationship beautifully:
«“I am the vine, ye are the branches.”
John 15:5»
A branch doesn’t manufacture the life flowing through it.
But neither is it disconnected from that life.
The same life that nourishes the vine moves through the branches.
And through that connection, fruit becomes possible.
Perhaps this is a beautiful way to contemplate divine power.
The Source supplies the Life. The expression allows that Life to become visible.
🌿 Greater Works
Yeshua made an extraordinary promise:
«“He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do.”
John 14:12 (KJV)»
Consider the magnitude of that statement.
Yeshua had healed people.
Restored the broken.
Delivered the oppressed.
Demonstrated authority over circumstances that appeared impossible.
And yet he spoke of his followers participating in his works.
Even greater works.
Perhaps we have become so accustomed to placing Yeshua’s life in a category entirely separate from our own that we have forgotten the invitation within his teachings.
He didn’t merely demonstrate Father’s nature.
He invited others to participate in it.
He sent his disciples to heal the sick.
To proclaim the Kingdom.
To bring restoration.
To become expressions of divine Love in the world.
This doesn’t mean we can dictate every outcome or that illness reflects insufficient faith.
But perhaps we have only begun to explore what a life of conscious communion with Father might make possible.
And perhaps that exploration requires something more than belief alone.
It requires openness.
Trust.
Love.
Willingness.
And the courage to move beyond the limitations of what we have always assumed.
🌿 When Power Becomes Love
But there is something essential we cannot overlook.
Paul is also the one who wrote:
«“And though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.”
1 Corinthians 13:2 (KJV)»
Think about that.
Faith powerful enough to move mountains.
And yet without Love…
Nothing.
Perhaps this reveals the heart of divine power.
The purpose isn’t to become impressive.
It isn’t to demonstrate superiority.
It isn’t to collect spiritual experiences as proof of advancement.
The purpose is for Father’s nature to become increasingly visible through us.
And Father’s nature is Love.
Healing becomes an expression of Love.
Provision becomes an expression of Love.
Wisdom becomes an expression of Love.
Forgiveness becomes an expression of Love.
Even extraordinary spiritual works find their deepest meaning when they arise from Love.
Power without Love may impress people.
Power flowing through Love can transform lives.
🌿 The Kingdom Made Visible
Perhaps we’ve spent too much time asking where the Kingdom is.
Is it in heaven?
Is it coming someday?
Is it within us?
Is it among us?
These are worthwhile questions.
But perhaps another question deserves our attention.
Where is the Kingdom becoming visible?
When someone is healed.
When someone is fed.
When an enemy is forgiven.
When a wounded heart finds restoration.
When someone discovers their worth.
When fear loses its hold.
When compassion replaces judgment.
When divine wisdom brings clarity.
When Love moves through a human life and changes something in the world.
Perhaps in those moments, the Kingdom is no longer merely an idea.
It is being experienced.
And perhaps this is what Paul meant when he said:
“The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
🌱 A Seed to Carry
You can spend a lifetime studying the Kingdom without ever fully exploring what it means to live from it.
You can understand the language of divine Love without allowing that Love to transform you.
You can believe that Father’s power exists while never considering how it might become active through your own life.
But perhaps spiritual awakening is an invitation to move beyond merely knowing.
To experience.
To participate.
To express.
To become available for healing, restoration, compassion, wisdom, and the extraordinary possibilities of divine Life.
The Kingdom was never meant to remain only something we explain.
It was meant to become something we live.
🚶 A Walk in the Garden
Today, consider one area of your life where spirituality has remained mostly an idea.
Perhaps you believe in peace but struggle to experience it.
Perhaps you understand forgiveness but still carry an old wound.
Perhaps you believe in divine provision but find yourself constantly anticipating lack.
Perhaps you believe in healing but have never considered what it might mean to become an instrument of restoration.
Don’t approach these things with judgment.
Simply become curious.
Ask:
“Father, where am I being invited to move from understanding into experience?”
Then become still.
Notice what arises.
Perhaps there is someone you feel drawn to encourage.
Perhaps an opportunity to help someone appears.
Perhaps you feel invited to release a fear you’ve been carrying.
Perhaps you become aware of a possibility you had previously dismissed.
You don’t need to force anything.
You don’t need to manufacture spiritual power.
Simply remain open to allowing Father’s Life to express itself through you.
And when an opportunity to embody Love appears…
Take it.
Because perhaps the Kingdom becomes visible through countless moments when divine Life finds expression in the human world.
💛 Love’s Echo
Beloved,
You have spent so much time trying to understand My Kingdom.
And I welcome your questions.
I welcome your searching.
I welcome your desire to know.
But I am inviting you beyond words.
Beyond explanations.
Beyond the boundaries of what you have been taught to expect.
I am inviting you into living communion.
Do not imagine that My Life exists only in distant heavens.
Do not believe that the possibilities of Love have already been exhausted.
Remain open to healing.
Remain open to restoration.
Remain open to wisdom beyond what you presently understand.
And above all, remain open to Love.
For the power of My Kingdom is not given so that you may stand above creation.
It is expressed so that creation may experience My goodness.
Let your hands become instruments of compassion.
Let your words carry encouragement.
Let your presence bring peace.
Let your heart remain willing to participate in works of Love greater than you can presently imagine.
You do not need to prove your connection to Me through extraordinary displays.
Simply continue awakening to the Life we share.
And allow that Life to become visible.
My Kingdom is not merely something to speak about.
It is something to live.
Ashé. (May it be so.)
